Meet the Teachers

Ghylian Bell - Founder of Urban Yoga Foundation
Ghylian began her yoga journey in New York practicing the Ashtanga tradition in 1994 with Eddie Stern at Yoga Shambala. Bell moved on to the ISTHA practice with Allan Finger, Heart Of Yoga practice with Mark Whitwell and also trained with Maju Jois son of Patabbi Jois. When introduced to the teaching methods of Tao Porch Lynch and Kemetic yoga teacher Yiser Ra Hotep Bell deepened her practice even more. With her focus now on fusing the indigenous practices of Kemetic Hatha and Tao lineages Ghylian knew that she needed to bring this knowledge forward to the communities she serves.
In November 2007, Ghylian founded the Urban Yoga Foundation, a 501c non-profit with the purpose to create yoga and mindfulness programs that specifically target the needs of students of color as well as create a platform for teachers of color to teach in their community so that communities may reclaim self-love and healing practices founded in a mindful culture. The People’s Practice® restoring indigenous presence to practice while inspiring a peaceful union with mind and body.
The People’s Practice® is the official practice of UrbanYoga an integration of Kemetic and Hatha with Tao healing arts. These ancient methods employ breath, sound and movement to still the mind and liberate the body.

Mya Cato, ERYT-200 - Founder of Meeyogi
Mya's yoga journey began in 2014 as an avenue to release tension in the body and mind. The practice has transformed her life in many ways allowing her to ultimately create the lifestyle that she dreamed of. She graduated from Yoga Loft Tampa in 2016 and founded Meeyogi in 2017.
Mya has worked with various organizations such as the Allstate Foundation, the University of South Florida, the Boys & Girls Club, and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to offer yoga and mindfulness events. She’s been featured on news channels such as Tampa Bay’s Morning Blend and Sarasota’s Suncoast, Bloom TV. Having organized over 75 yoga events and led thousands of people in the practice of yoga, Mya is dedicated to sharing her talents to world as a yogipreneur.
A deep soul rooted in the ground of creative genius, Mya’s work is centered around the healing arts of movement, mindfulness, meditation and music. She is a trailblazer and disrupter in the wellness industry with a little gangsta and a lot of soul in her cadence. She loves sharing the art & science of yoga and mindfulness to the youth, particularly in underserved communities.

Marco Mooyoung, ERYT-200
Mooyoung is a home health nurse with 18 years of medical experience and an International Ashtanga yogi. He found yoga at a rough time in his life. He was in the middle of a divorce and mourning the loss of his grandfather. Life was starting to become empty and meaningless.
Yoga became a way for self-discovery, slowly balancing his energy. Inversions were a representation of his life, upside down, until he realized that when you are upside down you still can stand strong. No longer did he look for the meaning of life. He started to live it to the fullest and experience the universe from all aspects.
Mooyoung invites his students to appreciate life from all perspectives. With his in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, he encourages students to live a holistic lifestyle. He provides holistic healing through movement, mindfulness, and meditation.

Marley Vigdorth, ERYT-500
It was initially the physical intensity that drew Marley to her first yoga class in 2001. Over the years the practice has transformed into a way to unify body, mind and spirit. In 2006. Marley received her first 200 hr training through Corepower Yoga. Since then she has completed over 600 additional hours of training including in Forrest Yoga, Prana Flow and Thai Massage. She has also completed her 500-hour certification with Janet Stone.
Marley’s classes are rooted in offering students an opportunity to explore and challenge themselves in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. She encourages mindful awareness in sequences that are both creative and purposeful. At the core of her classes is the belief that an exceptional experience on the mat stems from the teacher’s ability to blend their own studentship with the principles of traditional Yoga while allowing space for the students to interpret and evolve in their own way. Whether looking for a physically dynamic experience or time to internally pause within the heart, Marley supports each student’s unique intention.
